We just wanted to say a grateful thank you for your contributions to the NDPS AV Group Entertains evening last night. After all without them there wouldn't be a show! Although submissions from members were not as high this year, meaning that we only had sufficient to fill half an evening, we do hope that you enjoyed watching some of the work 
of our guests, Brian Harvey and and Ray Gouldsmith after the interval. Hopefully they may have inspired you to go on an improve an existing show or start another AV project. 

Although not specifically asked to do so, Brian has come back to me with a few helpful comments and suggestions to bear in mind when preparing any AV sequence: 

• Images should be 'good quality' and matching in screen resolution size (smaller images can be 'nested' within a larger canvas). 
• Think about the structure and 'storyline' i.e. is there a beginning, middle and end? 
• Think about sequence length - shorter ones often have more impact. 
  
• Make sure you keep all the images 'on topic' 
  
• Try and match the soundtrack to the images and create a flow, where pictures and sound compliment one another. 

So with the annual AV Competition only 4-5 months away, now's the time for all of us to start planning our entries. 
AV certainly takes time and attention to detail, as we well know!!
