Don't forget that the deadline for all entries is the meeting before the POTY round.

POTY DPI's must be entered no later than the meeting before each round - bring them on a disk or memeory stick or send them to the email above.

PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR - RULES

This will consist of four rounds. Points will be awarded to each entry in each round and totalled cumulatively to provide a Photographer Of The Year at the end of the competition. The winner will receive the engraved Challenge Shield to hold for one year. Each round will be judged by an independent judge under
the following rules:

1. The competition is only open to paid-up members of the society.

2. A maximum of TWO entries in any one round may be submitted. These may be digitally projected images, transparencies or prints - monochrome or colour.
 
3. Prints and transparencies may be trade processed.

4. Prints may be any size but must be mounted. Each print must display on the back top left hand corner the photographer’s current membership number and image title.

5. Each transparency must be correctly spotted and have the photographer’s membership number on the same side as the spot. A separate sheet must
accompany the transparencies stating title of each slide.

6. The canvas size for digitally projected images must conform to the new national standard of 1400 x 1050. The image colour profile must be sRGB. The image must have a minimum resolution of 72 ppi. The file name must start with the member’s current membership number, followed by the title.

7. Previous entries for POTY or pictures that have been exhibited in the NDPS annual or self- selected exhibitions, cannot be entered.

8. All parts of the image must be the work of the photographer.

9. The deadline for projected images is one week before the competition. Any entries submitted after this date will be rejected.
